Calle Hidalgo, Porfirio Díaz, across from Fabrik Café

If it can be welded, it gets fixed here.

Gates, railings, roofs, trailers and farm equipment, built to last and made to fit your space. Bring the job other shops turned down. We'll look at it together and give you options.

Open Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm. Call us for emergency repairs.

What we make and fix

Steel, iron, aluminum and stainless. In the shop, or at your place with a portable welder.

  • Gates and doors

Garage gates, entry doors and swing or sliding gates, with locks and hinges that hold up.

  • Railings, stairs and window guards

Balconies, spiral stairs and window guards that protect the house without making it look like a jail.

  • Roofs and structures

Carports, sheet-metal roofs, mezzanines, beams and columns, sized for the load and the rains.

  • Trailers and truck beds

New trailers, stake beds, ramps and hitches, plus repairs to the ones you already have.

  • Farm equipment repair

Plows, harrows, feeders and pens. We get the machine working again so you don't lose the season.

  • Hard repairs and custom pieces

Cast iron, aluminum, stainless, broken parts that are no longer sold, furniture and one-off pieces.

Difficult jobs get a plan, not an excuse

Some jobs don't fit a catalogue: a crooked wall, a part nobody makes any more, a tight budget. That's where a good welder earns his name.

  1. We look at it first

Send photos on WhatsApp or we come to measure. No charge for the visit in town.

  2. You get options

Usually three: the one that saves money, the one we recommend, and the one that lasts a lifetime. With prices, so you choose.

  3. We build it right

Clean welds, primer and paint that hold up to sun and rain. We tell you the delivery date and keep it.

  4. We stand behind it

If a weld fails from our work, we fix it. We're across from Fabrik Café, every day, and you know where to find us.

What we can build

Double gate with forged scrolls

A 4-metre automatic gate for a ranch entrance. Hand-forged scrolls and a motor that runs off a solar panel.

Spiral stair to the roof

There was only 1.4 metres of space. We designed a spiral stair built in sections so it could go up through the opening.

Livestock trailer, rebuilt

The floor and frame were rusted through. New frame, a non-slip floor and a gate ramp. It's been working for two years.

Roof for a café terrace

A 60 m² steel structure with translucent sheeting, installed in three days without closing the business.

Disc harrow back in the field

A cracked cast-iron frame the dealer said to replace. We repaired it and reinforced it for a fraction of the price.

Bandstand railings restored

We copied the original pieces that were missing so the plaza's bandstand looks the way our grandparents remember it.

Made here, for the town

Maestro Ramiro Fuentes has been welding on Calle Hidalgo for more than twenty years. Plenty of the iron you walk past in Porfirio Díaz came out of this shop.

  • Church atrium gate, repaired and repainted for the patron saint's festival, at no charge.
  • Primary school swings and goals, rewelded every year before classes start.
  • Benches for the plaza, built from reclaimed steel with the neighbours.
  • Welding classes for young people on Saturdays, so the trade stays in town.

“Three shops told me my gate had no fix. Don Ramiro fixed it in an afternoon and it closes better than when it was new.”

Lupita M., neighbour on Calle Juárez

“He gave me three options for the trailer and explained each one. I chose the middle one and it was the right call.”

Don Chuy R., cattle rancher
